Guess a golf course really isn't as profitable as a housing subdivsion Thanks againTerry Ommennoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2148427205406847766.post-71712404304942539762013-11-05T02:11:22.667-08:002013-11-05T02:11:22.667-08:00I believe the Linwood golf course was at Linwood a...I believe the Linwood golf course was at Linwood and Crowley. If I recall, it was 9 holes, and the 'clubhouse' was located just west of the intersection. The course itself was west and north, on property bounded by Linwood, School, Crenshaw, and the branch of Mill Creek on the south. There are condos on most of the land now. I "played" one round of golf there once with a friend who lived in the area. We had to be 5th or 6th graders at the time (circa 1968).Jim Reeveshttp://jimmiejoe.comnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2148427205406847766.post-11976211208014136812013-11-04T09:38:41.713-08:002013-11-04T09:38:41.713-08:00Brian Kempf, tree expert, said it is definetly a G...Brian Kempf, tree expert, said it is definetly a Giant Sequoia and one of the best and healthiest in Visalia. I imagine 99.9 per cent of people passing by it have no idea what it is. We need to change that, don't you think? If it is, even though it is outside of its element maybe there are things that we can do to help it make it. It could be the beginning of the Visalia GroveTerry Ommennoreply@blogger.com
